Caring for Your Results at Home

What you do in the days after your appointment matters as much as the treatment itself. Find your service below — I will always tailor these notes to you before you leave.

Customized Facials

Mild redness, warmth, or tingling for 24 to 72 hours is normal, and any small marks from extractions settle within a few days.

  • Leave your skin alone for the rest of the day — no picking, scrubbing, or extra actives.
  • Skip retinoids, acids, and exfoliating tools for 3 days.
  • No hot showers, sauna, steam, hot yoga, or intense exercise for 24 hours.
  • Wear broad-spectrum SPF 30+ every morning, rain or shine.
  • Purging or a small breakout can happen as congestion clears; keep to your routine and it will pass.
  • Results build with a series plus consistent home care.

Chemical Peels

Expect redness, tightness, dryness, and flaking for 3 to 10 days. Pigmented areas may darken before they shed — that is normal.

  • Do not pick, peel, scrub, or pull flaking skin — let it shed naturally.
  • No retinoids, acids, scrubs, or exfoliating tools for 7 days.
  • No hot showers, sauna, steam, swimming, or intense exercise for 48 hours.
  • No waxing, threading, dermaplaning, or hair removal on the area for 14 days.
  • No sun exposure, tanning beds, spray tans, or self-tanner for 14 days, and daily SPF 30+ is mandatory.
  • Use only the gentle cleanser, moisturizer, and SPF I recommend to you.
  • Text me right away if you see blistering, swelling, or signs of infection.

Dermaplaning

Your skin will feel exceptionally smooth and will absorb products more readily, which also means it is more sensitive for a couple of days.

  • Keep the skin bare and calm for the rest of the day — no makeup if you can help it.
  • Skip acids, retinoids, and scrubs for 3 days.
  • Avoid direct sun and always wear SPF 30+; freshly dermaplaned skin burns easily.
  • No waxing on the area for 5 to 7 days.
  • Your hair grows back exactly as it was — it does not become thicker or darker.

Scalp Wellness Treatments

A healthy scalp is the foundation of healthy hair, and results compound with a regular treatment rhythm.

  • Wait at least 24 to 48 hours before your next shampoo so the treatment can keep working.
  • Go easy on dry shampoo, heavy oils, and stiff hold products for a few days.
  • Use lukewarm water rather than hot, and shampoo the scalp while conditioning mid-lengths and ends.
  • Keep up the Davines home-care products recommended for your scalp type.
  • Flaking, itching, or shedding concerns respond best to a series rather than a single visit.

Brows, Lashes & Waxing

Freshly treated skin and follicles need a day or two of very simple care.

  • Keep tint or lamination dry for 24 hours — no steam, sweat, or swimming.
  • Avoid oil-based cleansers and makeup removers around lash extensions.
  • Do not rub, pick, or use lash curlers on treated lashes.
  • After waxing, avoid heat, exercise, sun, and makeup on the area for 24 hours.
  • Skip exfoliants and retinoids on waxed areas for 48 hours, then exfoliate gently to prevent ingrown hairs.
